Got my new Cleveland clubs last month, including a Hibore XL It is still in my bag and I have tried many other neutral and fade bias drivers. Ripped it right down the middle about With the Burner he goes to and down the middle. Shows virtually no traces of wear and has been hit times total.

The soles of the clubs are a bit shiny but are actually quite sturdy in the fact that they do not scratch easily Despite the super-shiny finish on the sole, and contrary to popular belief, the sole is not easily scratched.
I really dont think you need to change the shaft to red.
Cleveland Hibore XL Driver
If you can hold a note, that is. I purchased this head off the tour van. After a couple weeks, though, my trajectories started to drop and become more penetrating. My swing speed is hbyore I hit an X shaft. The ball jumped off the face.
I seldom hit it further thanexcept with hard ground or a tailwind. In five minutes after discovering the problem, I almost eliminated my dreaded hook. I just played my first round with the HiBore XL yellow shaft Being in the Middle east there arent too many shops around let alone courses. If 82 years old and MPH swing speed, you are my hero. I went with it on the recommendation of my club fitter, who said he thought I should get the Aldila because I have trouble getting the ball in the air with a 3 wood.
There was at least 30 yard difference with the 9. When the snow melts next spring………Look out! Many big-box golf store have them in the hitting bays. I play the XL Tour Spec 9. I may not be hitting it thirty yards past my current driver, but is very noticeably straighter.

Tons of clubface, and it sits on the ground very nicely — not closed. Having a slightly less closed face would certainly be a nice thing…. If you are thinking about trying a HiBore, this is by far the best of the 4 HiBore generations and the only one to try.
I tried the yellow shaft Hitting a Launcher Comp 8. With the much bigger Hibore XL, I feel that I need hybors tee it up and I have experiemented a bit, and I seem to get the ball up much better with a high tee. It has a softer tip and more distance and feel. I hybire a very average golfer and previously have never had any confidence whatsoever when it came to my driving.
A few months ago I was talking to my club pro who let me have a practice with the hibore. I was rushing my shots a bit and over swinging a bit. The Hiobore XL somehow manages to reduce the spin and rather than dropping like a rock, it just keeps on going. Your advice and comments are appreciated.
My drives would balloon with tremendous backspin and fall short. But mph is a strong enough clubhead speed to make use of the red shaft IMHO. Your email address will not be published.

I worry that getting the gold shaft will in fact increase your spin, which can reduce distance. It is more flexible than the Speeder in stiff and I like the pop it gives the ball and the driving ball flight as well.
